Not All Accountants Are CPAs
While most people use the terms accountant and CPA interchangeably, there is a big difference. The CPA credential carries enormous weight in business and financial circles.
About the MSCPA's Educational Foundation
Designed to recognize and encourage today's students who become tomorrow's accountants, the MSCPA's Educational Foundation promotes new accountancy programs in higher education, and strengthens the links between business and academia. Your contributions assist in funding of:
- Improve awareness and perceptions by educating students, faculty and the public about the exciting, challenging career opportunities available to CPAs.
- Increase interest in accounting careers by providing scholarships and other awards to college students.
- Introduce minority students to the various opportunities available in the business world, especially accounting. Each year the Foundation co-sponsors the UMass summer Careers in Management and Accounting Program (CAMP) organized for this purpose.
The Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, provides an opportunity to make a tax deductible contribution to a program that helps to ensure the future of the profession.
